Early in the week I drove up to Columbia Falls and back. We saw the sun more in the last few days than is ever common this time of year. The mornings were in the single digits, which is nice and makes for a good cold swim. I love the way frozen water layers in the creek, and the sound slow, cold water makes. I also love drinking coffee outside in the winter. Overall, a fairly quiet week in western Montana. When I step back and just look around I feel so damn lucky to be alive. This is half the reason I love carrying a camera, because it allows me that extra second to really pause, look at it, and appreciate it.
